H-U209.  U.S.  WWII  Rare Hawley Experimental  Liner.  The Hawley was the first try of liners for the WWII helmet.  It was a very light liner and fit nicely in the helmet shell.   Hawley liners are thicker then the liners they ended up going into full production.  It turned out that Hawley liners were very Fragile and prone to water damage.  Most ended up broken or damaged so production was stopped and a new composition liner introduced for use during the rest of the war.   This one has some cracks in it, however, all straps are still intact and even the chinstrap is still attached....$450.
